An MP is to give hospital trust officials an 18,000-strong petition in a bid to save an A&E unit from closure.
Jacqui Smith, MP for Redditch, will then meet the Redditch and Bromsgrove Primary Care Trust to discuss the plans to downgrade services.
Ms Smith will see the public votes on the closure being counted.
Campaigners say closure of the unit at the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch, would force patients to travel to Worcester for emergency treatment.
