M-way death crash probe continues
The crash scene
Police are investigating what happened
Investigations are continuing in North Lincolnshire into a crash on the M180 in which two people died and three children were seriously injured.

Police said a Vauxhall car being driven the wrong way down the motorway near Scunthorpe collided with two other vehicles on Monday morning.

Two adults were pronounced dead at the scene. Three children were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Both carriageways were closed between junctions two and four for 12 hours.

Earlier on the same motorway an injured lorry driver had sheltered under his vehicle for up to an hour before being airlifted to hospital after being struck by a passing car, police said.
