Clubber died from a heart attack

Staff at the nightclub tried to resuscitate Josephine Harris
The family of an 18-year-old woman who died after collapsing at a nightclub in Kent have called for more research into sudden cardiac death.

Josephine Harris, from Folkestone, died suddenly during a night out at the Ikon nightclub, in Maidstone, in the early hours of last Saturday.

Her parents said she had never touched drugs and her heart just stopped.

Her father, Jon, said: "When she came in, the room just lit up. She was just such a character."

According to the charity Cry, which raises awareness of cardiac risk in the young, sudden cardiac death claims the lives of eight apparently fit and healthy young people every week.

Josephine's mother Siobhan Kingston told the BBC: "I do not wish this for any parents."
