The zoo believe the thieves targeted the birds

Fourteen cockatoos have been stolen from Blackpool Zoo.
Robbers cut through the fence at their enclosure on Sunday night to take the Rosette Cockatoos, which are said to be worth about �1,000 each.
Anne Williams, who is the zoo's head of birds, believes the cockatoos were stolen by an organised gang.
"The aviary the birds are housed in is incredibly large and anyone who got the birds out in such a quick amount of time must have had a plan," she said.
She said all the birds are individually tagged.
