Sharron Davies and Ben Middleton at Wednesday's awards ceremony

A teenager from Leicester has received a bravery award after using first aid skills he learned from the Casualty show to save a youngster's life.
Ben Middleton, 15, came to the rescue of Jamie Morgan who fell through a glass plate on a roof.
Jamie says without Ben's quick-thinking and first aid skills, he may not be alive today.
Ben received his award from Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies at the 2004 Champion Children of the Year awards.
Jamie told BBC Radio Leicester: "It was quite lucky that Ben was going by at the time.
'Blood dripping'
"When I was at the hospital, they said that if Ben was not there it could have been a lot worse and I was lucky I did not have to have my leg cut off as well."
After hearing Jamie shouting for help from the rooftop of a school, Ben called 999 and climbed on to the roof where he found the boy lying with a deep cut right down to the bone of his leg.
Ben said: "His leg was dripping with blood. I took my hoody off to wrap round but that didn't help much so I raised his legs above his head like I had seen on Casualty."
Ben stayed with Jamie until firefighters came to lift them from the roof. Jamie is still recovering from extensive surgery in hospital.
Wednesday's event, where six youngsters were honoured, was held to raise funds for the NSPCC's Full Stop campaign against cruelty to children.
