Airport bus starts 24-hour route

Residents in Leicester will soon be able to access East Midlands Airport by bus 24 hours a day.

The Leicester Skylink service began running in 2006, taking passengers from St Margaret's Bus Station directly to the airport.

There was a break during the early hours, but when Kinchbus takes over from Arriva on 1 April, the service will be round the clock.

Some stops on the route will be changed and new ones introduced.

Kelly McHugh, travel plan marketing manager for East Midlands Airport, said: "The new 24-hour service will provide passengers with better access to the airport making their journey easier.

"We hope the new improved service will be welcomed by passengers and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by the route changes."
