Children face exams at all stages of schooling
Parents of stressed students in Lincolnshire are being urged to offer more support while schoolchildren take their exams.

Many parents believe children are under more pressure from exams and coursework than ever before.

And it is thought to be taking its toll on children in the county who are feeling the pressure.

Staff at helpline Parentline Plus in Stamford, say teenagers will inevitably take stress out on their families, but it is possible to help.

Supervisor John Gladwell said: "It would be good to reassure children that if they flunk their exams this time it is possible to resit.

"It's never too late to study or revise or even ask for help.

"We may not understand the details of their work but we can certainly help them plan and discuss how they are doing, perhaps give some moral support.

"But we also have to understand sometimes there will be frayed tempers and moodiness."
