Father's protest over bus tragedy
Neal Cooper
Neal Cooper is campaigning to get the road pedestrianised
A man whose daughter was killed in a road accident is planning a protest outside the Lincolnshire theme park where it happened.

Paula Rhodes, 30, and her husband Richard, 32, were among five people who died when a bus collided with a group outside Fantasy Island.

Her father, Neal Cooper from Mansfield, Notts, wants the road pedestrianised.

He has started a petition but is also planning a protest at the scene of the crash in Ingoldmells.

Mr Cooper said: "We intend to go down there on the next bank holiday Sunday - which is the 30th of this month - in order to try to close off the road, to demonstrate to the council that the area needs to be pedestrianised.

"It's a main road and it runs through the middle of a theme park."

Joanne Warren, 37, from Leicester, and her sons Jacob, five, and Leyton, four months, also died in the accident.

Inquests into the deaths of the five victims were opened and adjourned on 19 April.

The bus driver, a 50-year-old man from Louth, has been interviewed and released on police bail until June.
