Lincolnshire is to get its first newly-built secondary school for more than 40 years.
The 20m complex will be a replacement for the Castle Hills Community Arts College and the Middlefield School of Technology in Gainsborough.
It is part of a so-called educational village in the town.
The government announced it was giving 12m for the scheme, with the rest of the cash coming from local authorities and other agencies.
It is also giving hundreds of thousands of pounds to Christ's Hospital School in Lincoln and the George Farmer Technology and Language College in Holbeach.
