Three elderly people are in still in intensive care after their minibus collided with a car and overturned.

Nine people are in hospital after the bus rolled into a ditch on the A631 between Glentham and Caenby Corner, Lincolnshire, on Sunday evening.

The passengers, in their 70s and 80s, were returning to Grimsby after a shopping trip in Gainsborough.

A family of four from Wickersley in South Yorkshire, who were travelling in the car, also received minor injuries.

Nine people are in hospital - one of them, a woman, is said to be in a critical condition with two casualties described as "serious".

The minibus driver, a 42-year-old man from Cleethorpes, suffered minor injuries and did not go to hospital.

Insp Phil Parkinson said: "These are very elderly people so we do still have some concerns for them."

An investigation has been launched into the accident and police are appealing for witnesses who saw it or either of the vehicles prior to the crash.
