Councils consider casino option
District councils in Lincolnshire have been asked whether they want a casino.

It is part of the government's plan to allow 17 casinos to open across the country - one "super" casino, eight large casinos and eight smaller venues.

The newly-formed Casino Advisory Panel has asked all seven district councils in Lincolnshire whether they would want such development.

They have until the end of March, but so far none of the local authorities have declared they will bid.

East Lindsey District Council is to decide whether or not to apply for a casino at a meeting on 1 March.
