'Safe zones' for summer drinkers
People out clubbing and drinking on the Lincolnshire Coast will be offered access to "safe zones" over the summer.

The zones aim to give help and advice to people on a night out in Skegness on issues including pregnancy, drug and alcohol abuse.

East Lindsey District Council set up the scheme with help from police, youth workers and the Ambulance Service.

The zone will run from 1900 BST until 0300 BST outside the Hildreds Centre on Lumley Road on 25 and 26 August.

John Fleming, community safety officer from East Lindsey District Council, said the scheme was all about keeping people safe over the summer season.

"The reason we're doing this is to ensure people can enjoy themselves safely," he said.
