Agencies to tackle coastal crime
Police are stepping up efforts to fight crime, disorder and drug-dealing on the Lincolnshire coast this summer.

Emergency services and the East Lindsey District Council are joining forces to expand their Safe Zone scheme.

Police officers and council officials will be on hand at night to offer help and advice in Louth, Mablethorpe, Ingoldmells and Skegness.

The scheme is being expanded after positive feedback about last year's efforts, a council spokesman said.

The campaign will have its headquarters at Hildreds Centre on Lumley Road in Skegness and will include workers from the council's youth service, the ambulance service and the community response drugs team.
