Fire hit seafront plans submitted

Part of architect's plan
Previous schemes were rejected for building on parkland

Plans for rebuilding part of a seaside arcade in Lincolnshire have been submitted for the third time.

Grand Parade in Skegness was wrecked by fire last summer and Bell Leisure, which owns part of the site, wanted to put up a hotel, restaurant and bars.

But strong public opposition, centred on protecting the Tower Gardens park, derailed the scheme.

East Lindsey council said the new plan was for a four storey complex with ten pin bowling, amusements and parking.

There will again be a period of public consultation.
