Festival held for theatre-lovers
More than 150,000 people are expected to attend London's biggest free theatre festival this weekend.

West End Live, which features performances by the casts of The Sound of Music and Mamma Mia among others, is being held in Leicester Square.

Now in its third year, the festival is being held on both Saturday and Sunday.

There will also be performances by hip-hop dance troupe ZooNation, displays by Disney, and interactive workshops by the Science Museum.

Cllr Robert Davis, from Westminster Council said: "There is a fantastic line-up of free entertainment on offer with everything from top West End shows to the latest in children's entertainment.

"There really is something for everyone."

Last year West End Live attracted 130,000 people over the weekend.

Meanwhile, an Open Day is being held at the Royal Court Theatre, in Sloane Square, in central London, also on Saturday.

The public is invited to join fellow actors, directors and playwrights and participate in workshops and discussions.
