Water supply is restored to homes

Residents in south London are having their water restored following a water burst main in central London.

Up to 4,000 properties in south-east and south-west London may have been affected by the incident in Tooley Street, London Bridge, at 0930 BST.

The London Fire Brigade is pumping out water from flooded basements and cordons remain in place.

Tooley Street will be closed off over the next week as repairs are carried out due to water damage.

Thames Water received almost two thousands calls from customers reporting low pressure or no water supply at all.
