Warder sent inmate 'sexy' texts

A prison officer accused of trying to smuggle drugs to inmates has admitted sending "sexy" text messages to a prisoner, Southwark Crown Court heard.

Patricia Ollivierre, 30, sent the inmate messages saying "love you sexy" and regretting she could not touch him.

Ms Ollivierre, from Willesden, north-west London, was allegedly caught ferrying drugs into Wormwood Scrubs.

She denies five charges including possessing heroin and cannabis with intent to supply in August 2008.

'Inappropriately intimate'

While she admitted having a "very close relationship" with the prisoner and being "inappropriately intimate", she said she never once supplied him with drugs.

Jurors have heard it involved her making 29 phone calls and sending four text messages to the prisoner, while receiving 153 calls and one text in return.

She was caught when she returned from lunch one day to find her colleagues waiting to search her.

Although a sniffer dog indicated the presence of drugs, a superficial "pat down" found nothing, the court was told.

But when her car was searched a 3.4g wrap of heroin and a "compressed" 51g block of herbal cannabis were found under the front seats.

Later at the police station she took a 14g heroin wrap from her mouth which the prosecution claim she put there just before she was searched in the prison.

Ms Ollivierre is charged with conveying drugs into Wormwood Scrubs without authority and misconduct in a judicial or public office.

She has admitted a sixth charge relating to misconduct.

The trial continues.
