England hosts 'biggest' service
Christmas lights
The service will include a contribution from Cliff Richard
Hundreds of churches and community groups are set to join together in what organisers hope will be the nation's 'biggest Christmas carol service'.

The special 'North West Sings' service will come from St James and Emmanuel Church in Didsbury, South Manchester.

BBC Radio will broadcast the service on Sunday allowing potentially thousands of people in the region to join in.

The event includes contributions from Sir Cliff Richard, Russell Watson and also the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

North West Sings is run by Real Christmas, an inter-denominational organisation committed to keeping the true spirit of Christmas alive through carol singing.
