Developers have unveiled plans for the transformation of the former Merseyside home of a collection of warships.
The East Float Mill in Wallasey, which has stood empty for a number of years, is to be turned into modern apartments, shops and restaurants.
It is hoped the �19m project will trigger other warehouse redevelopments along the former docks site.
Land next to the mill, which was used by the Warship Preservation Trust, will form part of the development.
'New era'
The Historic Warships Collection, a popular maritime tourist attraction, closed to the public last month.
Property developer Gregor Shore said it was attracted to the site because of its location and views across Merseyside.
Marie Wilkinson, of estate agent Knight Frank, said the development heralded "a new era for the port".
