A pink double decker in Norwich is now a love bus

A pink Norwich park-and-ride double decker is being turned into a love bus for a speed dating session at the city's new �5m bus station.

Norfolk County Council is co-hosting the ticket-to-love trial on Tuesday night between 2000 and 2200 GMT.

Already more than 80 people have expressed an interest in taking part.

The distinctive pink bus normally links Thickthorn park-and-ride users with the city.

Tina Rust, from the passenger asset section of Norfolk County Council, said: "There is absolutely no reason why people shouldn't meet and fall in love on a bus - and with thousands of people using our very successful park-and-ride services each week, I'm sure love has already blossomed on some of our routes.

"While, on the face of it, working in the county council's passenger transport unit would not appear to be a romantic job, I very much hope this will be the start of true romance for someone."
