Residents in a Nottinghamshire town have responded angrily to plans to develop a popular retail park.
Developers want to create new retail and office space and parking on the IKEA site at Giltbrook.
They also want to widen the approach on Nottingham Road and introduce traffic lights to ease congestion.
But the local civic society is concerned that it will not be enough to stop traffic clogging up the surrounding area.
More than 100 people attended a public meeting on Thursday night to voice their concerns.
Many claimed they had not been properly consulted - a charge refuted by the developer's planning consultants.
Peter Waldren, from RPS Planning, said: "It is incorrect to say the council has not consulted the people - as part of the process there have been three separate public consultation processes of six weeks long plus a six-week long public inquiry.
"People have had ample time to comment on these proposals."
He said 900 new parking spaces will be built to cover both existing and new developments.
Mark Leivers, of the Greasley Civic Society, said: "It is important that the planners know what the people think about the proposals.
"I know a lot of people are concerned about the amount of traffic this is going to generate."
