Lorry drivers are being warned about a series of thefts from vehicles parked in lay-bys in Nottinghamshire. Several goods vehicles have had their sides slashed on the A1 and last week one had eight pallets of air freshener stolen while in a lay-by near Worksop. A van with the slogan, Truckers Beware! This is a Load Theft Hotspot, will be parked in lay-bys along the A1. Officers want drivers to use designated lorry parks, which have the added benefits of security and often CCTV.
