Flood grants deadline approaches
Flooded allotments in Osney, Oxford
Thousands of properties were flooded during the summer
People affected by the floods in Oxford during the summer have one day left to apply for a relief grant.

Claims for the cash payment from the government must be received by Oxford City Council by Wednesday.

Oxford City Council received 60,000 from the government following the floods in July.

Part of the grant has also been set aside for extra payments for residents who suffered additional hardship as a consequence of the flood.

Eligibility is based on the government's definition of flooded properties, which is flood water inside residential accommodation.

There is also some money available from the Lord Mayor's flood appeal fund.
