Four houses have been flooded as the snow thaws across Oxfordshire causing rivers to burst their banks.

Earlier, eleven roads across the county were closed by the flooding. Routes through Great Milton, West Hanney and Woodeaton were shut.

Two schools were closed and 10 others had to delay opening because of the weather conditions.

The River Ray, Ock, Evenlode, Windrush and the Thames have all been put on flood watch by the Environment Agency.

Neil Beaumont owns a house in Chalgrove that has been affected by flooding.

"We woke up this morning and found that the house was flooded. It's not unexpected - this is the fourth time that this has happened."

Mr Beaumont now has to deal with 4 inches of sewerage water in his kitchen.

The Agency says it is closely monitoring Chalgrove Brook, as well as Ginge Brook and Radley Park Ditch.

The agency has advised anyone wanting further information to contact their floodline on 0845 988 1188 and enter area number 01112.
