Jermaine Jackson is to visit the Oxford Union as part of a memorial to his late brother, it has been announced.

The singer, who performed with Michael in the Jackson 5, will pay tribute to the star on 3 November.

Michael visited the Oxford Union in March 2001 to launch his charity, Heal the Kids, which raises awareness of children's welfare.

The musician passed away in June, aged 50. His death was ruled to be homicide caused by a powerful anaesthetic.

After performing in the Jackson 5, Jermaine launched a solo career, and received a Grammy nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.

The Oxford Union said the memorial event will be open to all members.
