Plea for more rural 'lifesavers'
Shropshire Ambulance Service is appealing for more people in villages and hamlets surrounding Telford to become Community First Responders.

The scheme enables people who live nearby to be called out if someone suffers a medical emergency like a heart attack or stroke.

The ambulance service say the first few minutes after a stroke are crucial.

Jonathan Beard, emergency responder for Telford, said many people only get involved through friends.
