Foals have been born to ponies on the Mendip Hills for the first time in half a century.
A total of 16 wild Exmoor ponies were released last year near Burrington Coombe, close to the border of Somerset and North Somerset.
They have been reintroduced to the hills to regenerate the habitat.
The animals keep undergrowth and scrub down and also help preserve indigenous species, such as the Greater Horseshoe bat and the Nightjar, a nocturnal bird.
