The spa project is dividing political opinion in Bath
|
Vandals have attacked the 19m Bath Spa building.
Several large glass panels were shattered in the attack and the repair bill could be up to 40,000, said a BaNES council spokeswoman.
"We are disappointed that vandals have chosen to attack the spa in this way," she said.
The scheme has been hit by several setbacks and has no opening date set as yet. A nearby cash machine was also targeted in the attack.
Recently, Dan Norris MP for Wansdyke called for the dismantling of BaNES council, following the spiralling costs of the Spa project.
The Labour MP argued it was unfair rural constituents partly funded the scheme.
