Dozens of Gloucestershire people are due to brave icy waters at Cheltenham's lido for the annual Christmas dip.
For the last 70 years, people have taken an out-of-season festive dip at Sandford Lido.
Staff have been busy cleaning the usually heated pool in readiness, although the temperature of the water will be barely above freezing point.
Keith Norris who manages the lido said swimmers keep coming back, despite the shock of the cold water.
