A steam locomotive built by Swindon's Great Western Railway 90 years ago is to be restored.
The West Somerset Railway (WSR) in Minehead has bought the Churchward Heavy Goods Engine.
It was built in 1918 and used for hauling coal in south Wales, but has been stored in a Barry scrapyard for more than 40 years.
It is currently kept at the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway in South Wales having been removed from service in 1963.
WSR General Manger Paul Conibeare said: "Rarely does an opportunity arise to purchase an unrestored GWR locomotive complete with tender."
