Court to tackle domestic violence
Domestic violence cases will soon be dealt with more quickly in Doncaster.

The town has been picked to take part in a special government programme which will see the magistrates court become a specialist domestic violence court.

More support for victims and a more streamlined court process are aimed at encouraging more people to come forward and report problems of domestic abuse.

The new court should be operating in the town by the start of the new financial year, in April 2007.
