Britain's first Powerboat P1 World Championship Grand Prix is taking place at Brighton Marina this weekend.
The event will see the high-speed powerboats competing in an endurance race taking place over 80 miles on Saturday and a 50 mile rally on Sunday.
The race course lies 150 yards offshore, with the boats likely to reach speeds of 95 miles an hour.
The British Grand Prix is the third race of the season, which culminates with the Spanish Grand Prix in October.

The event in Brighton involves up to 18 high performance powerboats, which are crewed by up to four pilots.
Teams will be competing from all over Europe - the UK entrant is a boat named Buzzi Bullet, which is currently placed third in its World Championship Class.
The event is free to view for the public.
Race organisers have said the best viewing points will be on the coastline between Madeira Drive and Hove Lagoon.
