Crane plunge victim named

The man had only been working at the port for a few weeks
A dock worker who died after plunging 115 feet from a crane at Felixstowe has been named.

Dennis Burman, 51, died in Ipswich Hospital on Tuesday after the accident at the Trinity Terminal at the Suffolk container port.

Mr Burman, of Brantham, was married with two children.

He had only been working at the port for a few weeks and was undergoing training, said Paul Davey, the port's corporate affairs manager.

The Health and Safety Executive has begun an investigation into the accident.
