Owen Woodgate, star of Cinderella, has retracted his remarks
The pantomime prince in a Suffolk town failed to charm residents when he posted insults about them on micro-blogging site Twitter. Owen Woodgate has been starring in Lowestoft's Marina Theatre's production of Cinderella. On Twitter he said: "Everyone's pregnant...it's dominated by hoodies...and there isn't a Starbucks." He has since retracted the comments and has been writing more positive things about the town. Later tweets have said: "First impressions were way off the mark...having a fantastic time...everyone has been very welcoming."
