Members of the public will get the chance to put forward their views on policing priorities at a series of events to be held across Surrey.
The police authority is to hold "You Pay, You Say" public consultation meetings starting on 13 October at The Nave, in Woking.
Others will be at Godalming's Borough Hall on 3 November and The Harlequin Theatre, Redhill later in the year.
Police authority members will be there to answer questions from the public.
And the latest interactive technology will be used to gather the views of local people.
Dates and venues for other events are yet to be confirmed.
The police authority oversees the work of Surrey Police, sets the budget, appoints the chief constable and monitors performance.
A spokeswoman said it aimed to ensure the needs and concerns of the local authority were reflected in the county's policing policies.
