Comedian David Walliams is mourning the death of his father, a spokesman for the Little Britain star has said.
Peter Williams, a former London Transport engineer, died shortly before Christmas after suffering liver cancer.
He had only been diagnosed with the disease in September. Mr Walliams is now comforting his mother Kathleen who lives in Banstead, Surrey.
The actor, who changed his surname when he joined actors' union Equity, was said to be close to his parents.
They were there to watch him when he swam the English Channel in 2006 for Sport Relief.
