Website users will be able to view reports being discussed

The decision was taken by Surrey Police Authority after it considered how it could make it easier for people to take an interest in matters discussed.

It will also allow more people to learn how it ensures Surrey Police delivers an efficient and effective force.

The meeting at Waverley Borough Council can be seen via the authority website.

Members of the public will be able to see who is who on the authority and have a chance to hear the views and comments of senior police officers.

The site will also enable the user to feed back comments as the meeting is taking place and also to view the reports being discussed and any presentations given in real time.

Jim Smith, chairman of Surrey Police Authority, said: "We welcome the opportunity to enable more people to take an interest in the important subject of local policing, which affects us all.

"We look forward to hearing views on how we can encourage more people to attend our meetings, either in person or virtually."

The meeting begins at 1000 GMT.
