Three bailed again over MS death

Three people who were arrested in connection with the death of a multiple sclerosis sufferer in Surrey have had their bail extended until next year.

Surrey Police said the three were now due to answer bail on 15 January.

The arrests were in connection with the death of Cari Loder, 48, of Farncombe, who died at her home on 8 June after her condition deteriorated.

One of the people arrested was Libby Wilson, 83, a former GP and right-to-die campaigner from Scotland.

'Pro-euthanasia group'

She was questioned on suspicion of aiding, abetting, counselling or procuring a suicide after attending Woking police station by appointment earlier this year.

The other two people on bail are a man in his 70s from the Godalming area, and a man in his 50s from west London.

They were also arrested on suspicion of helping Ms Loder to end her life.

Ms Loder reportedly spoke with Ms Wilson, a member of the Glasgow-based pro-euthanasia group Friends At The End, days before her death.
