A tough crackdown on drink-related problems is to be extended to cover all areas of rural Northumberland.
The multi-agency Enough campaign was being launched in Castle Morpeth and Tynedale on Tuesday.
It will include advertisements, policing and counselling and aims to tackle drink driving, crime, domestic violence and ill health.
The scheme has been run in Berwick and Alnwick where violent crime fell by 28% after the first six months.
The campaign has a holistic approach by bringing together community safety officers, police and support services.
Brought misery
It aims to cut alcohol-related crime in the area by at least 10% over 2006.
Castle Morpeth Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership chairman Ken Dunbar said: "We are determined to reduce alcohol-related crimes which have brought misery to many members of our community.
"This is not about preventing law abiding people from enjoying a night out and a drink.
"However, we will clamp down hard on those who are determined to cause trouble and inflict harm as a result of excessive alcohol consumption."
Posters will be put up on hoardings, in taxis, schools, pubs, community centres, libraries and supermarkets.
Other initiatives will include counselling being offered to victims and offenders in alcohol-related crimes and increased policing measures.
