Motorists warned of bad weather
Ambulance leaders have urged drivers to take extra care in showery weather after a spate of road accidents across the West Midlands in wet conditions.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they had recorded seven road accidents within 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

In one accident on Sunday morning, three people were injured when their car hit a brick wall in Sparkbrook.

In another on Saturday afternoon, a tree fell onto a line of moving traffic in Pelsall. No one was injured.

The accident happened on the B4154 Vicarage Road at about 1420 BST. One car was crushed but no one was inside at the time.

Also on Saturday afternoon a coach collided with two cars on the A38 in Birmingham city centre in the underpass close to the Horsefair island.

No one was seriously injured in any of accidents.
