A new survey says Yorkshire is one of the worst places in the United Kingdom for rat infestation.
It said the number of brown rats and house mice in Yorkshire has gone up by 2%. Nationally, only Wales had more rats than Yorkshire.
The National Pest Technicians Association, which carried out the survey, says the results reflect the current problems facing pest control.
They predict that budget cuts may cause more serious problems in the future.
