The brother of a Leeds man on death row in Pakistan has made an urgent appeal for his life after hearing he is to be executed in two weeks.
Mirza Tahir Hussain, 36, is set to be hanged on 1 November for the murder of a taxi driver 18 years ago.
His brother Amjad and Amnesty International have called on Pakistan's president to halt the execution.
Respect Party MP George Galloway was due to fly to Pakistan on Monday to plead for Mr Hussain's life.
Amjad Hussain said: "This is now a matter of utmost urgency as time is fast running out for my brother.
"President Musharraf does have the power to step in and stop the execution of an innocent man - and he should exercise it.
"I implore President Musharraf to end our agony and commute the sentence immediately."
Hussain has always claimed he was acting in self-defence, saying the taxi driver tried to sexually assault him.
