More than 150 former miners and their families have marched through a West Yorkshire community to remember the miners' strike 25 years on.
People united to walk from the site of a former colliery in South Kirkby to a memorial in the town centre.
The strike started in 1984 when miners and the government became locked in a bitter and often violent dispute over plans to close pits.
Mark Jones, whose son was killed during the strike, joined the march.
He said: "The first week of the miners' strike he got killed on a picket line and these people have helped me get through it over the past 25 years and that's what today is about.
"They are a tremendous bunch of people. I have more respect for them than I do for anybody.
"That's why I'm here today to pay tribute to them."
