Six hundred jobs at TV rentals repair business Endeva are to be lost as part of a restructuring by administrative receiver PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The losses will be spread over 40 UK locations, and include more than 100 jobs at the Swindon call centre.
The company, which provides services and call centre support for Boxclever (formerly Granada/Radio Rentals), was placed into administration in September.
Its administration, operations, finance and call centre functions will be
merged into a single location at Bedford over the next year.
Mike Smallwood, national officer at the union Amicus, said: "We are challenging the
lawfulness of the company's actions on behalf of our members and the matter is already in the hands of our solicitors.
"This is a huge kick in the teeth for loyal and long-serving company employees who have seen through various rounds of redundancies only to be made redundant themselves on worse terms."
Endeva currently employs 4,000 staff and efforts to sell the company are ongoing.
