Residents in a Wiltshire village have overcome the last major obstacle to getting their village shop back.
The post office in Urchfont near Devizes, closed last year after the post mistress retired after 25 years.
The Urchfont Community Shop Association has received planning permission to start conversion work on a disused but listed garage at the Lamb Inn.
Organisers have already raised around 94,000 towards the building work through grants and community funding.
They still need another 6,000 but are hopeful of getting the shop and post office running by the end of the year.
