Flooding disrupts rail services

Rail services between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway are disrupted due to flooding.

Trains running through Swindon, Westbury and Castle Cary are affected, with First Great Western closing the railway lines in all three areas.

Train services between London Paddington and Swansea are being diverted via Gloucester and calling additionally at Didcot Parkway.

Trains are not able to operate between Reading and Bath Spa.

Train services between London Paddington to Exeter St Davids and the West of England are currently unable to operate between Reading and Taunton in both directions.

Customers in the affected areas are advised not to travel.

First Great Western tickets dated 13 December 2008 are valid for travel on Sunday 14 December 2008.

South West Trains and CrossCoutry are accepting First Great Western tickets via all reasonable routes.
