A network of volunteers is being put together to help protect Wiltshire's trees and give early warning of disease or vandalism.
The tree wardens will also set up tree nurseries using seeds which have been collected locally.
Workshops on veteran trees, practical planting and visits to woodlands and nurseries are being planned.
Wiltshire's tree wardens will take part in the Cranborne Chase Woodfair which showcases rural activities.
Jon Stokes at the Tree Council said: "Wiltshire has been a black hole for tree wardens and we are delighted that the gap is being filled."
The Tree Council introduced the first Tree Wardens in 1990, in response to the disastrous storms which hit southern England.
The charity works with local authorities, voluntary organisations and parish councils across the UK to set up networks in towns, cities and the countryside.
