Snowy conditions in some areas of Northern Ireland has led to a number of school closures. Almost 50,000 homes, businesses and school's are without power as a result of damage caused to power lines by snow and high winds. Motorists have been advised to take extra care on the roads, as snow and slush has made conditions treacherous. Schools to remain closed include: - Aughamullan Primary School, outside Coalisland;
- Ballytrea Primary School, outside Stewartstown;
- St Brigid's Primary School, Tirkane, Maghera;
- Cloughoge Primary School, near Newry;
- St Colmans Primary School, Saval, Newry;
- St Columcille's Primary School, Carrickmore, County Tyrone;
- Diamond Primary School, Cullybackey;
- Donaghey Primary School between Cookstown and Dungannon;
- Drumhillery Primary School, Middletown, County Armagh;
- Foley Primary School in Ballymacnab in County Armagh;
- Keady Primary School, County Armagh, the Easter Service has also been postponed;
- Kilronan Special School in Magherafelt;
- Kirkinriola Primary School, Clogher Road, Ballymena;
- Knockahollet Primary School, near Dunloy;
- Lislagan Primary School, Ballymoney;
- Little flower Nursery School in Clonoe, County Tyrone;
- St Mary's Primary School, Altinure, near Dungiven;
- St Mary's Primary School, in Granemore, near Keady;
