Cameron 'smart' says Obama

US President Barack Obama has described David Cameron as a ''smart, dedicated and effective leader''.

Speaking at a joint news conference with Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Mr Obama said the new UK prime minister has already stated his support for the coalition strategy in Afghanistan.
