Skye community of Sleat will be consulted on Gaelic school plans
|
Parents in the Skye community of Sleat are to be given an opportunity to comment on plans to make their primary a Gaelic-dedicated school.
Highland councillors, meeting in Portree on Monday, agreed unanimously that an official consultation will begin on 18 April.
Any change will only happen for the next school session.
Some parents argue that to exclude English medium children from the school would discriminate against them.
